TIKTOK – VIRALES THEATER | tanzhaus nrw düsseldorf

Is TikTok a stage? What could theatre learn from TikTok? What do online communities and theatre audiences have in common? We invite you to a practice exchange with young people, digitally inclined artists, and content creators. For one weekend, it will all be about the farthest-reaching contemporary social medium. We will discuss artistic strategies on and with TikTok across generations and share knowledge on empowerment and community building while searching for the answer to this question together: Is it possible to outsmart the algorithm?

With this programme, FFT Düsseldorf and tanzhaus nrw are opening a series of events by the Alliance of International Production Houses on the practical field of art and encounters, October 2024 to October 2025. The seven houses in the alliance will be discussing strategies for opening up and involving a diverse society.
