If you are grooving on the floor to 90’s dance hit "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" on the, you will therein encounter the concerns of an institution in “Everybody Dance Now”, an institution whose history is also closely linked to the 1990’s: tanzhaus nrw. Founded in 1978 under the name of Die Werkstatt für Tanz, Theater, Malen, Werken und Gestalten e.V., the relocation into the former tram depot on Erkrather Straße and the name change to tanzhaus nrw e.V. followed in 1998. Under its new moniker, the house focused on dance from then on. We invite you to our three-day anniversary festival from September 1st to 3rd, to celebrate 25 years of tanzhaus nrw with artists, instructors, supporters, benefactors, neighbours, club members, staff, and with you, our audience.
