Technology increasingly succeeds in making our bodies quantifiable and controllable, yet what paths of sensual, experientiall possibility does it open at the same time? And does a spiritual plane of technology exist? Those are the questions tackled by artists during performances, in a virtual reality installation, as well as in a number of lecture demonstrations, and among the performers will be Daito Manabe, Japan’s digital arts superstar. The focus of this year’s festival, co-curated and shaped by Factory Artist Choy Ka Fai, lies on interactive works.
