The tenth festival edition and 20 years of collaboration for a strong dance network in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The biannual tanz nrw festival presents variegated choreographic positions from North Rhine-Westphalia, mirroring the diversity of the regional dance scene – from up-and-coming artists to experienced choreographers – from 8 May to 18 May 2025. All the contemporary invited pieces carry political, social, and aesthetic relevance. The festival establishes cross-connections – between cities, formats, and discourses. The resulting rooms become spaces of exchange and agency – between artists, promoters, and visitors. The opening of the anniversary festival edition takes place at tanzhaus nrw.
