Laura Waltz

Breath’In You is a solo performance by Laura Waltz that explores how aliveness manifests across different forms of embodiment: from the dancing human body, through the animation of analogue materials, to the live embodiment of a digital avatar. By applying puppetry principles to both physical and digital forms, Waltz creates a unique performative language that embodies organic, material, and virtual bodies. Through this mergence, Breath’In You investigates contradictions of presence, illusions of aliveness, and the question of what happens when multiple forms of aliveness and body materials meet on stage. Engaging with corporealities across flesh, material and digital forms, the piece offers an immersive, sensual and empathetic experience that opens new ways of perceiving and connecting with digital embodiment.
