STAGES INTO THE NOW – A Solo for Scott Jennings
STAGES INTO THE NOW is a solo for and with Scott Jennings. The former Pina Bausch Tanztheater Wuppertal dancer has been repeatedly and remarkably collaborated with choreographer Alexander Waierstall for years now. Past, present, and future as well as different modes of expression and media full of reflexion and emotion, care, and tenderness become entwined: From distant memories to an intensive cinematographic encounter with Wuppertal and its opera house, damaged by the pandemic and flooding, in the year 2021, to the here, now, and soon. In the simultaneousness of these different times, the audience will be invited to experience dynamic choreographic landscapes, sensual spaces of imagination as well as a subtle dialogue with Pina Bausch, Else Lasker-Schüler, and Sappho.
