Todas las noches

The cooperation between performers and choreographers Sara Cano and Vanesa Aibar oscillates between flamenco and contemporary dance. The movement between those poles is mirrored in both their bodies. Todas las noches will be accompanied by guitarist and singer María Marín, leading the audience into the terrain of the night, of darkness, of the unknown, of the forbidden, and of a dreamy mood.

Sara Cano’s and Vanesa Aibar’s works are characterised by the use of sound and space dramaturgies that open up new perspectives on flamenco. The collaboration unites the universes of both artists. The “female duet”, barely explored throughout the history of flamenco, appears to the audience as an ideal space and starting point for a feminist discourse in flamenco.

Sara Cano’s works regularly guest at tanzhaus nrw during the Flamenco Festival. Vanesa Aibar has already been a part of the festival’s workshop programme. They will enter the tanzhaus nrw stage for the first time together for Todas las noches.
