Dancer and choreographer Alfredo Zinola uses movements to create a connection between the young audience and himself in his solo 200 ways. In this playful performance, even the slightest finger movement may tell so much. A new movement virtuosity arises thus: Instead of tricks and jumps, simple, mundane gestures serve to generate an encounter between performer and the members of the audience. Through the act of watching, the audience becomes the protagonist. A unique movement language is formed in this exchange, producing understanding, complicity, and nearness. 200 ways shimmers between abstraction and personal as well as fantastic levels, and it yields an unknown and fascinating movement universe: In it, an outstretched hand appears as fascinating as a somersault.

Alfredo Zinola was a Factory Artist at tanzhaus nrw from 2020 until 2022. He has been trained in contemporary dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, among other things. As a choreographer, he set himself the goal to shape a participative experience in contemporary dance for a young audience.
