WESTWIND Festival

WESTWIND festival returns to Düsseldorf in 20225 after having last set up shop here in 2015. The festival brings ten exciting children and youth theatre pieces from all over North Rhine-Westphalia to Düsseldorf, selected by an expert jury. Apart from exchange formats on the productions, it will feature international guest performances and a packed accompanying programme with actions, music, and workshops. It will be hosted jointly by tanzhaus nrw, FFT Düsseldorf, and Junges Schauspiel.
Advance booking starts on 28 March. Beforehand, there will be a sneak peek for teachers and educators at the FFT at 6 pm on 10 March where the festival’s educational offerings will be presented.
WESTWIND is one of the most renowned theatre festivals for a young audience nationwide. It is hosted by a different North Rhine-Westphalian theatre each year. Apart from a selection of North Rhine-Westphalian productions, the festival offers international guest performances and an extensive accompanying programme with workshops, panels, and talks.
