Hi, ROBOT!

What are the bodies of the future, and how do they function, think, and feel? Is the biological body an obsolescent model or the basic hardware of a mechanism that can be expanded upon at will? Will encounters with robots, cyborgs and wearers of artificial limbs be the norm in the near future, and do they need social ruling? The festival, initiated by tanzhaus nrw and realised by a host of artists and other experts, is devoted to questions for changing body images in 21st century art. Together with the NRW-Forum and the Black Box Kino cinema, they explore erstwhile science fiction imagination that have long since turned into reality.
