Eine Person befindet sich auf einer runden Bühne, die von Publikum umgeben ist. Sie tanzt im Breaking-Stil und stützt den gesamten Körper mit dem ausgestreckten Arm auf dem Boden ab. Der andere Arm ist dabei nach oben gestreckt, die Beine sind angewinkelt.

The Free Spirit Festival celebrates urban dance culture in all its facets. For one week, tanzhaus nrw will revolve around dance, music and exchange. 
More than 40 workshops led by national and international dancers offer space for intensive training, new impulses and personal development. Whether hip-hop, breaking, popping, house, locking, waacking dancehall or krump – participants can put together their own training schedule according to interests, level and style. In addition to the workshop programme in the morning, there are events in the evening that provide variety and inspiration. 
The Welcome Jam, an evening to arrive, connect and dance, kicks off the programme. The Spirit of House is all about groove and expression. The Musicology Battle brings a breath of fresh air to the battle scene. Because here the music takes centre stage, not the dance style. The grand finale of the festival is the Championship Battle.
