Parisa Madani
Since 2022, the Pariyestan multiverse has been experimenting with prolonged collective dream meditations and immersive relaxation practices in public spaces. This edition focuses on a listening session accompanied by slow, dreamlike choreographies and the dialogue between the sisters Lady White Snake and Little Green Snake (青蛇+白蛇). Sisterhood is understood as a form of resistance—a coming together of individuals who dream collectively in languages they do not understand. They freely share artistic expressions and, in doing so, co-create a monument in time. Through slowness, love, and trust, they powerfully explore alternative ways of living together.
For the performance evening, the audience is invited to relax on mats and cushions, beginning the evening lying down. In this vibrant setting of handcrafted cushions and poetic films, visitors have the opportunity to engage with themes such as family trauma, homeland, and sisterhood in various states of consciousness. They are both challenged and encouraged to remain present throughout the performance.
Parisa Madani (*) is a German-Iranian trans woman who graduated in 2022 with a bachelor's degree from the SNDO – School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam. Her work addresses care and resistance for QTIBIPOC through the project PARIYESTAN, which has been presented in venues such as Sophiensaele in Berlin and Arsenic in Lausanne. These collective nap sessions serve as mindful spaces where rest is valued as a form of resistance. They aim to rewrite deeply ingrained cultures of white supremacy, which, like a virus, infect non-white traditions of mourning and relaxation.

Some Mandarin, English, Farsi, and German will be spoken. However, the performance is understandable without knowledge of these languages.
