Dance like nobody's watching
Dancing makes us happy, brings people together and lets us forget about everyday life. On up to two occasions per month, tanzhaus nrw opens its Foyer from 3 to 6 pm for anyone who simply wants to dance everything away - beyond consumption and self-optimization. Just simply drop by!
The event on 23.11. will take place as part of dances of transgression. All info HERE.
05.10. seren.a
seren.a is an electronic artist and sound engineer from Düsseldorf. As co-founder and DJ of the all-female collective Get Over It, she pioneers the representation of queer women on stage and behind the decks in Germany. After playing (classical) guitar for 20 years she switched to hardware synths to orchestrate her own soundscapes. She is composing music for dance and theatre productions. As a DJ she serves a juicy blend of 90s rave driven hardtechno and house beats, sprinkled with hyperpop. Synthgasms guaranteed.
09.11. DJ Freegah
Cologne-based DJ Freegah grew up during arguably the most influential times in the history of Afrobeat. His passion for African-inspired music genres and his acquaintance with DJs across the continent later inspired him to take over the turntables when he moved to Europe. We are delighted to welcome DJ Freegah for the third time to heat up the dancefloor!
23.11. Dwaiser Jackson
Afro Fusion, RnB, Hip Hop
Dwaiser Jackson's music combines old school hip-hop and R&B from the 2000s with Afrobeats. Inspired by the Jacksons and infused with Nigerian Afrobeat sounds, he creates soundscapes that transcend genre boundaries and get the audience moving. What began with creative remixes that Dwaiser initially played for himself has developed into an unmistakable style that revitalises classics and adds fresh beats. In his experimental DJ sets, he seems to effortlessly build bridges between musical cultures and genres.
LA CRUSH – DJ Set by Felix Waltz
The electro duo LA CRUSH (Felix Waltz & Henning Neidhardt) from the Ruhr area stands for a metamorphosis of complex and monotonous electronic beats. Beats that resonate with life and a duo that gives everything to carry the audience away. For the second time, Felix Waltz will also present a wide range of sounds during the DJ set and take you on a musical trip. From relaxing, atmospheric tracks to powerful, brute sounds, sometimes even elements of RnB and HipHop, everything is possible. Felix Waltz himself is delighted when he doesn't know a single song at a party, but loves everything he hears. He always tries to give his listeners the same experience.
