Ein*e Performer*in in einem Ganzkörperanzug auf der Bühne. Der Körper wird von blauem Licht angestrahlt und ist von verschiedenen weiteren Leuchtquellen umgeben.

Chris Ziegler redefines Ovid’s Pygmalion, the famous myth about the artist who falls in love with the being he created himself, in close collaboration with dancer Unita Gay Galiluyo and composer Hugo Paquete. A body in morphogenesis, in constant transformation. A solo performance that employs digital, visual, sensory, and material interaction to create a body of images and sounds. CORPUS articulates a process of interaction between artists and their artefacts in a feedback loop. Where is the delineation between the analogue and the digital, where do the glitches arise in the transformation? Whereas the digital motion capture technology at first needs the whole of the visible body to generate imagery, CORPUS at first reproduces the perception of an animated character before unveiling the body.
