Zwei nebeneinander hängende Spiegel, davor ein langer Tisch mit vier Stühlen.

During what could well be the most challenging academic year, the twelve Take-off partner schools continued to dance, to discover and to try new things, despite the pandemic. The pupils are going to show their choreographies, rehearsal impressions and video works, developed together with the Take-off teachers, on tanzhaus nrw’s Grand Stage.

Take-off: Junger Tanz, as a Düsseldorf competence network, enables an anchoring of the dance genre in theatres, schools, and youth centres, in participatory collaboration with professional dance creatives. This entails regular dance lessons for pupils, performance and rehearsal visits at tanzhaus nrw, activities during school breaks, project weeks, research phases on guest performances and productions as well as advanced training courses for teachers. The biannual Take-off Festival also stems from the collaboration with the partner institutions Junges Schauspiel, FFT, and Tonhalle.

Duration: 120 min. with intermission.

By and with students from the Theodor Andresen School, LVR Gerricus School, LVR Gerricus Daycare Center, LVR School at the Volksgarten, Friedrichsstadt Secondary School, Catholic Secondary School Itterstrasse, Stettiner Strasse Comprehensive School, Heinrich Heine Comprehensive School, Goethe- High school, Catholic elementary school under the oaks, Montessori elementary school on Farnweg, Wim-Wenders-Gymnasium, elementary school Flurstraße.
