Lichtleiter

Moving image collective WARPED TYPE develops live visuals, stage designs and interactive multimedia installations for music videos, concerts and exhibitions. In the process, the Düsseldorf collective centred on Andreas Huck, Roland Nebe, Florian Breuer and Stefan Hings has its roots in both electronic as well as in classical music and has been working with different artists and institutions since its inception in 2012. Their collaborations range from HAUSCHKA and Brand Bauer Frick to the Duisburg Philharmonic and the WDR Rundfunkchor (WDR Broadcasting Choir).
This year’s TEMPS D’IMAGES festival edition presents WARPED TYPE’s interactive installation “Lichtleiter”, a collaboration with composer Brigitta Muntendorf. The installation joins visual with aural levels, thus enabling complex experiences that address a multitude of senses at once, leading to an interweaving of sensual modalities. With the presence of the body, one’s own movements and spontaneous gestures, the spectators will position and enter themselves into a dynamic relation with the installation, creating a multifarious interplay.
