Ein Tänzer vor dunklem Hintegrund mitten in der Bewegung.

Urban dancer Christian “Robozee” Zacharas tackles Igor Stravinsky’s “Le Sacre Du Printemps (The Rite Of Spring)” here! When this ballet premiered in 1913, composer Igor Stravinsky and choreographer Vaslav Nijinsky not only caused an enormous theatre scandal, they also rang in modernity in dance. More than 200 choreographers have taken on this work so far, unforgotten, for example, Pina Bausch’s celebrated 1975 creation. For the first time now, Christian Zacharas narrates the “Sacre/ Rite” as a contemporary urban solo: A short warm-up in the arena, breathing, waiting for the rival, and, immediately, the music with all its sound force pours down on the dancer.

Renegade, founded by Zekai Fenerci as Germany’s first urban dance company in 2003, regularly collaborates with a roster of national and international artists.
