Eine Performerin inmitten weißer Stofffetzen.

How still can snowflakes, an iceberg, the whole world be? And how quiet the chaos, shortly before it erupts? Sabine Seume’s new work, in which she works with dancers Camila Scholtbach and Felipe Gonzales as well as with musician and video artist Jakob Rullhusen, is dedicated to the phenomenon of stillness. For this is much more than being still or holding still or making no noises or not moving at all. Stillness can be so much and lies at the start of everything: Before a sound, a movement, before the first words. Even as babies in the womb, we hear heartbeats, and we encounter an infinite number of sources of sound movement as soon as we enter the world.  While researching “loud“ and “still“, “nothing” and “everything”, “Stille” creates a fantasy world with music, dance, videos and objects. Concentrating on the moment, keen on the new, the ensemble around Düsseldorf choreographer Sabine Seume carry their very own moments of stillness, making them bluster around the room like a snow flurry.  Sabine Seume, dancer and freelance choreographer, has been creating pieces for a young audience for many years. Her stagings are drawn towards the humorous and poetic aspects of a child’s life. With a fine sensibility for the essence, she is dedicated to bringing together different artistic forms such as music, video and object art. She guested at tanzhaus nrw with “Die Goldbergs” (The Goldbergs) in 2013, “kind.gerecht – I change my world” (“suitable for children – I change my world”) in 2010 and “Der Seelenvogel” (“The Soul Bird”) in 2008, for which she won an award at the “25. Kinder- und Jugendtheatertreffen NRW” (“25th Children and Youths Theatre Meeting North Rhine-Westphalia”).
