Salsa

Course with Francesco Batti

Building on the beginners course, the warm-up will deepen isolation techniques in order to improve the quality of movement. The aim is to introduce participants to simple figures, techniques, understanding of music as well as culture and rhythm. “My courses are open to everyone – especially to those who believe they have two left feet.” Francesco wants to teach his participants the steps and self-confidence in the first few lessons so that they quickly feel like they belong to the salsa community. The experienced lecturer and choreographer has been spreading the joy of salsa at tanzhaus nrw since 2004. “For me it’s not primarily about dance technique, but about the feeling!”

Registration for this course is only possible in pairs.
The course fee shown is per person.

Francesco Batti

When Francesco Battigaglia wound up in a Salsa club in Miami completely by chance during a holiday, he was hooked. The colourful mixture of people he encountered, the effortlessness on display as well as the music sparked a Salsa fire in him. Originally a primary school and languages teacher, he gave up his vocation to completely dedicate his future life to dance and “would do so again in a heartbeat.” During an era when Latin-American dance was barely established in Germany, Francesco set about acquainting himself with the various local facets of Salsa on-site in New York, Puerto Rico and Cuba. As the first instructor in North Rhine-Westphalia, he also offers Salsa lady styling.
