We welcome Paul Davis Newgate, known as Davis, as a new face at the Academy! Davis is a German-Nigerian artist, born and raised in Hilden in 1993. He has been working as a freelance performing artist since 2016. With his work in dance, theater, fashion and film, he is constantly expanding his repertoire. In 2020, Davis performed two solo shows for the first time: Traumtage and The Mask. His focus is on breaking, complemented by various urban dance styles. He is a passionate movement enthusiast and has experience in disciplines such as horse riding, tennis, kayaking, parkour and tricking. Movement, art and culture characterize his life. In addition, Davis is a jury member for Westwind 2025 in Düsseldorf and an active member of 40Village, ic.Inner Circle, Theater Marabu and Urbanatix.
