Agnieszka Habraschka - Crip Time

Time is often understood as something absolute – efficient, productive, tightly scheduled. But for many disabled people, time functions differently: it is flexible, unpredictable, and shaped by individual rhythms. This way of relating to time is known as Crip Time. The concept describes how disability and chronic illness influence experiences of time and time management.

In this session, we will be introduced to the concept of Crip Time and reflect on it together.

Relaxed Workshop

The session will take place as a relaxed workshop. This means that all forms of attention and presence are welcome within the space. You are free to move around, lie down, bring and use your stim toys, leave the room and come back at any time. Different seating options will be available (bean bags, chairs, etc.).

Wheelchair access is provided.

Agnieszka Habraschka is a consultant, dramaturge, and production manager specialising in accessible and anti-ableist cultural work/performance art, the Aesthetics of Access, and intersectional anti-discrimination. Until March 2024, Agnieszka was the production manager for the network project Making a Difference. Agnieszka is neurodivergent, has non-visible disabilities as well as experiences of migration and poverty.

Martina Leeker, Konstanze Schütze - about Art and Research

Interview project about Art and Research examines artistic research from different professional perspectives situated between theatre, performance, and music. Short and succinct insight into discourse and methods will be given along the lines of eight questions. Artists, theoreticians, institutional representatives as well as students have their say in the interviews, talking about attitudes and practice. about Art and Research (aAaR) was conceived for use in research and teaching and is perceived as a growing collection of materials. The project receives support from the University of Cologne Arts and Music Department as well as from Karlsruhe University of Education.
