Virtual Wounds: A Digital Lament – A Dance Odyssey is an experimental fusion of dance, gaming, AI, and speculative storytelling, set in a digital world where an Avatar – a digital vampire – grapples with hyper-melancholy and the weight of existence in an endless stream of code. Trapped between the real and the virtual, they question the boundaries of pain, embodiment, and consciousness, delve into digitized pain, hyper-melancholy, the dissolution of the body into code, and the poetic tragedy of existence in a virtual age.
The project will be presented as a short demo remixing gaming and performance, exploring what happens to the human body after death and how digital dance can be transformed into a game.
The demo game version can be experienced at the showing on site at tanzhaus nrw and online. Click HERE for the stream link.
