Tap Ahead Gala
A line-up of international tap artist stars unites on the great stage to celebrate the 26th gala during the Tap Ahead Festival! Rich in rhythm, daring to improvise and with guaranteed musical finesse, tanzhaus nrw shows tap “at its best”:
Kazunori Kumagai, Leela Petronio, Daniel Borak, Josh Hilberman, Sandra Kluge, Jep Meléndez and Daniel Luka lend visibility to all varieties of contemporary tap dance. Together with the Roman Babik Trio, virtuosic rhythm play and unorthodox connections form from improvisation, creating a fascinating mosaic of contemporary tap dance art.
The gala will be opened by "T.A.P. – The Augmented Project". The 20 dancers of the project, which has been under the direction of Daniel Luka since 2013, present the best of the last ten years with specially composed music by Roman Babik.
