Listening-practis, movement-result

Workshop with

In this workshop we replace our eyes with ears and communicate through movement.

What do we hear? Do we hearing what we are expecting? What do we communicate or not?Özlem Alkis’ artistic research and interest focus on the relation between the modes of sensory perception, evolution and mechanism; how does the alternation of a sensation or environment affect our understanding of the world.  Her choreographic frames immerse in the complex connections between movement, space and sound and the mutual conditions in which sound, movement and space are mutually depending on one another and alternate the visual sense through the auditory, aiming at questioning the visual domination in our culture. All improvisation lovers are welcome to this workshop.
