junges tanzhaus
20 Years of Junger Tanz Düsseldorf , take-off Festival Opening
The first weekend of the festival is dedicated to young people and, consequently, to productions by the youth ensembles of FFT, Tonhalle, tanzhaus nrw, and Schauspielhaus. Numerous school performances will take place throughout the week. This year’s festival culminates on Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22, with a weekend of dance performances and activities for the whole family. Some of these are for watching, others for participating. In the foyer of tanzhaus nrw, an installation by students from the Academy of Fine Arts invites visitors to linger.
The festival kicks off with a very special evening: The woodwind ensemble of the Tonhalle Youth Symphony Orchestra—a young group about to embark on a tour of China—will present its work and also perform an improvisation conceived specifically for the foyer of tanzhaus nrw.
Following an official welcome and a small reception, the program continues with in_der_schwebe by vielleicht_regen_.
Afterward, we’d like to continue the evening’s diversity together with the young people and celebrate the premiere and the festival’s opening together!
