Land Before Time , Waterkind
How may we experience connection and a mutual understanding for the next movement through improvisation? Waterkind explores the interplay between two bodies without direct physical contact. Freestyle and popping elements stream, float and change just like water’s natural movements. A meditative surge between receptiveness, nearness and space unfolds. Every movement flows from its predecessor, just like with the recurring and mutual nature of water itself.
The piece draws parallels between human relations and natural rhythms. With its focus on water as metaphor and inspiration for movement language, the performance takes up current threads of discussions on ecology, sustainability and networking within communities and the environment.
The duet Waterkind was selected for the “Twenty25 Artists” by Aerowaves in 2025.
