Junges Schauspiel und tanzhaus nrw
Freedom. Lightness, floating, a good feeling. Does freedom mean that you can do whatever you want? Does everyone have a right to freedom? Does your freedom exist even if you have to respect mine? Who would you be if you weren’t yourself? Freedom is a privilege: the freedom to move, the freedom to have a place where you can stay. Is the absence of fear and oppression enough? Does freedom mean shaping your life according to your own ideas? To be heard, to have the right to have rights? — This collective creation kicks off in spring 2025 and will have its world premiere in May.
Freedom is a Dancer constitutes a special stage experience in which the stage is open for consideration. The audience decides which objects and costumes each individual performance will begin with. Seven actors and dancers invite you to explore what it means to be free. Poetic, honest and silly, with text and dance, body and mind.
