Open Rehearsals
Apart from the performances, tanzhaus nrw offers a production and rehearsal venue for artists. The productions will eventually be shown on the tanzhaus nrw stage at a later date. Interested visitors are given the opportunity to directly experience the artists’ work and their production processes during a visit to an open rehearsal.

Alexandra Waierstall: In the Heart of the Heart of Another Moment – embodied by 17. An Interlude for Düsseldorf
Düsseldorf choreographer Alexandra Waierstall’s new group piece will premiere at tanzhaus nRW Großer Saal on September 27th. The piece is based on the unique and longstanding collaboration between bodies and the Arena sculpture. Highlights from among this collaboration are the Bodies and Structure piece, having premiered at tanzhaus NRW in 2019, as well as the current cooperation with Rita McBride, the Arena, the interdisciplinary artists’ collective Discoteca Flaming Star as well as the Dia Art Foundation in Beacon, New York. At the new piece’s focus lies the collective process of a diverse cast looking for connections, building new communities, multiplying and diversifying body experiences and movement material.
Im Anschluss findet um 20:00 die Uraufführung von Salaš – a working tale von Darko Radosavljev im Großen Saal statt.
