BAILAR LA SOLEDAD , Marjorie Nastro (La Tijera y el Papel)

Artist Marjorie Nastro’s (La Tijera y el Papel) work has developed from mindsets that are rooted in traditional painting and concept art, wherein the collage forms a central element. Each of the collages created for the festival is made up of heterogenous, mostly unconnected elements that are mixed, assembled, and eventually fused into a new, homogenous picture that offers a new reality. Dispensing with the hierarchy between highbrow and lowbrow culture, the main wells of inspiration are Spanish culture and flamenco, with an ambiguous view veering between homage and irony.

The exhibition is open from 16:00 – 20:00 during the Flamenco Festival.
