Hip Tap Project
Here, jazz tap dance meets body percussion, instrumental percussion and hip hop! Leela Petronio, a tap giant from Paris, always striving to break barriers, gathered an international cast for her new work: Dancers Daniel Luka, Jep Meléndez, Ludovic Tronché and Leela Petronio herself will perform along live music by Peter Stavrum, expressing their individual tap history: Virtuosic solos rotate with harmonic duets, improvisation and fusion choreography – body percussion encounters a diverse soundtrack composed of classical piano, jazz double bass, Kathak sound words, Flamenco-style singing, and more!
