Zwei Hände in Nahaufnahme. Die Hände sind locker geballt, sie berühren sich an den Außenseiten. Im Hintergrund sind verschwommen Personen zu erkennen. Die Szene ist in pinkes Licht getaucht.

The Bülbül Club is a meeting place for dancing together and dances from West Asia and North Africa at tanzhaus nrw. After an introductory workshop on a dance style, we dance without borders – like Bülbüls! In Arabic, Hebrew, Kurdish, Turkish and Persian, Bülbül is a proverb for joy and for speaking fluently and vocally. In addition to dancing, the club also invites people to exchange ideas and celebrate together.

Supported by the Alliance of International Production Houses; funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

Oct. 30: Kurdish Dance Culture

At the Bülbül Club event on October 30, we invite you to immerse yourselves in the diverse world of Kurdish music and dance culture. Together, we’ll experience Kurdish circle dances like the Halay and other regional circle dances from Kurdish culture, accompanied by live music.

Musically, you can look forward to: Mesopotamian Electro-Retro Psychedelic Music.

Featuring: Azad Ran & Mustafa Demir

Come together, form a circle, and experience the music and dance culture of Kurdistan in your own way!
