Zinola Kühn Productions , POSTO
Let us get together in empathy, responsibility and play on stage. POSTO is a participatory dance piece on finding and occupying one’s own place. There are three oversized inflatable spheres on stage; it remains empty otherwise. The spheres playfully invite interaction, simultaneously opening varying physical and emotional reactions. How can individual needs for participation, distance or observation be translated into a shared experience? Community and respect will be negotiated in the interaction between dancers and audience. In POSTO, the theatre space becomes a place of community in which empathy, responsibility and play intertwine.
Zinola Kühn Productions’ core team consists of Alfredo Zinola as choreographer and Micaela Kühn Jara as producer and intermediation expert. They have been working together since 2015, based on their shared interest in dance for a young audience. Together, they create projects and other formats that often come up in collaboration with other artists in co-authorships. Their main bases are Cologne and Munich. They work in cooperation with tanzhaus nrw Düsseldorf and HochX in Munich. Their work is characterised by a probing for the boundaries of formats, topics and ideas on the shaping of that what a dance performance for a young audience might be. Apart from productions and international touring, they act via workshops, discussions and cooperations with other artists to further develop the discursive and collegial level of the professional field.
