How could we properly argue again? What drives the people who defend democracy in sweltering summer heat here? What is it worth if the same neighbourhood square will be occupied by a verified extreme right-wing summer festival? And what roles do the arts play in this – currently and in the future? A journey through Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Berlin, Potsdam, Erfurt, Weimar, and Dresden, where a dense programme of performances, discourse and workshops on stages and in lecture halls, on market squares and in front of theatres flourishes. Right in the middle are actors Tina Pfurr and Hauke Heumann, in conversation with politicians, artists, and social workers.
In English and German. With audiodescription.
Duration: 90 mins.
