Restorative Culture: Johnathan Morin

The documentary film Restorative Culture: Johnathan Morin deals with identity and belonging. At its centre is tap artist Johnathan Morin who grew up with foster parents and embarks on a journey of self-discovery during which he seeks to bring harmony to his love for the Afro-American art form of tap dance with his longing for the indigenous heritage of his people, the Nehiyaw. Searching for the knowledge his people possess on music, dance, teaching, and community, Johnathan’s world is shaken as he is asked to make a great sacrifice.
