How can data and technology bring our bodies to movement and change our bodily consciousness in a playful way? In their six-week residency as part of Movement, Digital Intelligence and Interactive Audience (MODINA), artists Marko Milić and Uroš Krčadinac guest at tanzhaus nrw as well as at Hochschule Düsseldorf.Within their project they examine the interactive feedback loop between the audience and artificial intelligence: What kind of (strange) dance scores emerge when we engage in a choreographic dialogue with the machine? What does the AI make of our usual movement patterns and what kind of movement does it suggest? Dance as if you were 114 years old! Dance backwards! Be like boiling water! Striptease for an alien! Roadkill on the sun! And what happens when we try to defy their algorithm? In a participatory show, the two resident artists present the current state of The Field, in which dance, animation and programming merge.

The Movement, Digital Intelligence and Interactive Audience (MODINA) residency programme serves to explore artistic formats on dance and technology. It focuses on the employment of artificial intelligence (AI) and the interaction with an on-site audience as well as the one in the digital realm. MODINA cooperates with three academic institutions and five dance houses from six European countries.[

The Field is part of the MODINA project. MODINA is co-financed by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
