Beyond the performances, tanzhaus nrw offers a production and rehearsal space for artists. The productions will be shown on the tanzhaus nrw stage at a later date. Interested visitors have the opportunity to experience the artists' work and their production processes first-hand by attending an open rehearsal.

Cologne choreographer Özem Alkış will premiere her new piece at tanzhaus nrw in January 2025. Based on Alkış’ longstanding research into Alevi ceremonies, new community rituals addressing all senses will be developed. A transdisciplinary format between visual art, music, and dance will emerge.
