Voguing Elements

Course with Ray

Voguing is the dance of the so called “ballroom cuture”. Created in New York’s Harlem from and for POC and LGBTQ+ people, it wants to enable them to find their own voice and to express themselves creatively and freely in a heteronormative society. In this voguing class, the basis of voguing, its 5 elements, will be taught. From those elements choreographies will be composed and practised. The goal of this course is, to enable participants to carry out movements with confidence and to create movements independently and creatively or to dance freestyle. “Voguing is a culture, a life style, a feeling – not just a dance.”
