Michael Löhr studied Contemporary Dance at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and received a scholarship from the annual Summer Academy in Kyoto, Japan. He had engagements at the Tanztheater Bielefeld and Tanzcompagnie Oldenburg. Since 2009 he lives in Berlin as a freelance dancer, choreographer and professional coach. Since then he worked a.o. with Ahn Eun-Me Company, Alessandra Corti, Clint Lutes as well as Emanuel Gat Dance and performed at numerous dance festivals in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Furthermore Michael Löhr works as choreographic assistant of Emanuel Gat (Ballet National de Marseille, Candoco Dance Company, Polish National Ballet), regularly teaches open classes and company trainings (Ballet de Lorraine, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Cie. Amala Dianor, Jin Xing Dance Theatre, VA Wölf’s Neuer Tanz).
