In his lecture performance, Düsseldorf author, choreographer and dancer Raimund Hoghe combs through his extensive archive. In movement, word and film, he resorts to material from which he has been developing his globally guesting plays for more than 20 years. In quotes, individual scenes from his pieces reappear, and they are joined anew. Yet, this research is far from being about a “Best of”, it is rather dealing with moments of recollection in a personal and historical story, about memories of companions and artists, of that which remains, of the fleeting, of the power of music and of silence.
Raimund Hoghe was a dramaturge for Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch in the 1980s. Since 1989, he has been developing his own theatre pieces for dancers and actors. Apart from his stagings, he has been realising films with a focus on (auto)biographical portraits.
